The procedure for introducing explosion-proof lighting equipment into circulation (TR1055)

The design, certification, production and introduction into circulation of explosion-proof lighting equipment is carried out in accordance with the Technical Regulations for equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive environments, approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 26, 2016. No. 1055 (hereinafter - TR1055).

Thus, in accordance with Clause 39 of the Technical Regulation, the introduction into circulation and use of explosion-proof lamps according to the procedure for assessing the conformity of ТР1055 is confirmed only in the presence of a complete package of confirmed documentation, consisting of three documents, namely:

  1. Type examination certificate (module B — design stage).
  2. Notification of conformity to type (one of the modules D, E, F or C1 — production stage).
  3. Declaration of the manufacturer's compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulation and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (ТР1055), registered with the conformity assessment body.

ATTENTION: Putting into circulation (operation) products that are provided only with a type examination certificate (module B) is not allowed according to TR 1055, since the above certificate refers only to the technical design of the product. Its use is allowed only in combination with additional modules of evaluation at the production stage (modules D, E, F or C1). In order to exclude the above, this requirement is identified and described in the text of the Type Examination Certificate (module B) paragraph 11.
